FIREPLACE GAS LOG

A gas fireplace log set can be a tremendously cozy housewarming gift.
A fireplace natural gas log can provide not only warmth, but a feeling
of security. When you’re gathered around a fireplace, you can create
some really terrific memories with your family.
Of course, in some cases, you might opt for an artificial gas log fireplace.
An artificial gas log vented fireplace can create that same inviting feeling.
You might also want to accessorize your space by adding a gas log fireplace
mantel. A mantel is a wonderful way to display your family photos, collections
of knick-knacks, and other treasures.
The Ideal Choice
Gas fireplaces have been called the ideal choice for those who want to enjoy
an indoor blaze without having to worry about chopping wood and cleaning
up ashes. Because of the widespread popularity of gas models, you’ll
find there’s a growing selection of gas fireplaces available today.
You might also consider freestanding gas stoves and contained fireplace
units that can be mounted on a wall.
If You Need to Vent
You should be aware of the fact that some gas log fixtures are vented. In
this way, dangerous gases can travel outside, just as they would if you
were using a conventional wood-burning fireplace. You should also be aware
of the fact that there is more than one method you can use in order to vent
a fireplace. Therefore, even if you don’t have a chimney you can use,
you can still install vented gas logs in your house.
The Choice is Up to You
 When
you shop for a gas fireplace, you can select either a unit that burns
natural gas or one that burns propane gas. No matter which one you choose,
you should know that it must be burned with the damper open. Keep in mind,
though, that a gas fireplace doesn’t solve the problem of a malfunctioning
chimney. If your chimney is damaged or dirty, you cannot use it for burning
gas logs. If your chimney used to burn wood, you should have it professionally
cleaned before you begin using gas logs.
